Maybe - News & Gig Info

This thread will be a place where I will post news about new songs I am writing/learning as well as a place to post gig info!

Recently I completed my third original song. I wrote the guitar progression and chorus lines a few months back, but it took me until a few days ago to put my stamp of approval on it! I originally called it 'Fountains'...but then changed it to: 'Internal Experiences'...but now I have decided to call it: 'Ebb & Flow'.

I will be premiering it at my next gig, alongside two new covers: Castles Made of Sand by Jimi Hendrix, and Where is My Mind by The Pixies.

My next gig will be at the Bannock Street Garage (1015 Bannock Street) on Thursday, November 20th. Music starts at 8:00pm, I will be going on around 9:30pm.

Be there or be square!

Right now I only have my original songs, but as soon as I get around to it I will be adding my entire library!

The show last night was great! An utterly awesome night!

I will be going back to the garage in a month to play with them again...and probably before that to watch some jello wrestling!

Also, I will be playing the Ogden Theater on February 15th, 2009. So make sure to prepare for that madness!

Okay...

because of a misunderstanding I will NOT be playing the Ogden on February 15th.

But, there is some good news yet!

The misunderstanding was that my band was a 'High School' band. I think that means under 18 or under 21 or something like that. When I told them I had put together a band of four people, including myself, all of which weren't in school, and one was over 21, they told me, and I quote:

"Well we have your phone number and your MySpace, so we will be in contact about you playing a show. But we aren't going to have you play this one, okay?!"

This is bad because it would of been awesome to play that stage regardless of who I was playing with and how old/good they were!

This is good because I WILL be playing the Ogden eventually. And when I do I will be playing a more legitimate show...something not restricted to under 21 year old's. Also, there's a good chance that I would have been a break between Screamo anyway. So I think that this is good. I think this is the Universe getting me excited to play a big show so that I can begin to prepare for it...but I have a wait a little more to figure out when my chance will be.
Everything happens for a reason!

So, I will let you guys know as soon as they get back at me about another gig!

Until then please come down and support the smaller gigs I have and will be booking in the near future!
