The Large Hadron Collider
CERN, in Switzerland, is attempting to recreate the conditions fractions of a second before the big-bang, to see if all our work in particle physics and quantum mechanics has been in vain.
This is the world's largest, most expensive, and advanced machine.
So keep an eye on it...
Once they get it back online, that is.
The Science Channel Website usually has some fairly new info on the project!

Re: The Large Hadron Collider
Should be back up Spring 2009. Apparently there was a helium leak in a couple of the sectors that caused the issue. I can't wait to see what kind of info they get from it
